Özellikle Türkiye'de temel aminoasitler kadar hayatımızın parçası halini almış sansür kavramı, mevzu global krizler olunca en gelişmiş ülkelerde bile migren gibi ansızın baş gösterebiliyor. 11 Eylül saldırılarının ardından Amerika'nın baştan aşağı değişen dinamiği müzik endüstrisini de etkilemiş ve sessiz şeffaf bir sansür yığını özgürlükler ülkesinde de yanıp sönmeye başlamıştı. Clear Channel Communications tarafından sahibi oldukları 1200 radyo istasyonuna verilen "lirikleri şüpheye açık" tarihi şarkı listesi, 166 adet şarkıyı fişlemesiyle popüler kültür sansürlerinin trajik dünyasında sağlam bir yer edinmiş durumda. Clear Channel'in bu girişimi, halen Amerikan tarihindeki en büyük şirket sansürlerden biri olarak anılıyor sanırım ve 9/11'in hemen ertesi günü uygulamaya konulmuştu.

Anladığım kadarıyla içinde saldırılara ilişkin küçük de olsa bir kod (New York, dünyanın sonu, toz bulutları, yanıyorum, eriyorum, savaş, Eylül ya da tezat oluşturabilecek dünya hayat ne güzel türünden vs vs) barındırma potansiyeli olan tüm şarkıları listeleyip o ilk günlerde var olan aşırı duyarlılığın üstüne gidilmesin diye pragmatik gözüken niyetlerle, dj'lere kolaylık olsun diye radyo istasyonlarına bir 'tavsiye' olarak dağıtmış Clear Channel. Zekanın ince pırıltısını burada görmek mümkün.

Özetle durumun absürdlüğü, komikliği, aptallığı ayan beyan ortada. Buna diyecek bir şey yok. Zaten eleştirildi de uzunca bir süre. Bu yasağın ya da daha doğrusu sakıncalılık halinin hala geçerli olmadığını sanıyorum. Yoksa hala geçerli mi? Hala bu parçalar CCCl kanallarında çalınmasa daha iyi olur muamelesi mi görüyor? Bu haberin tekrar gündeme gelme sebebini merak ettim açıkçası.

Ya da bu yazı Obama'nın Nobel ödülü alması üzerine bir geçmişi unutmayalım unutturmayalım yazısı mı?

Obama'dan ziyade sansür ve müzik muhabbetinin internetteki son yasaklarla yeniden gündeme gelmesi üzerine bir unutmayalım unutturmayalım haberi idi yazdığım diğdem. Zamanın derinliklerinden haberler bulmayı seviyorum aslen (bakınız: Der Führer's Face) ama 11 Eylül geçmişle günümüz arasında alacakaranlık kuşağı sayıldığından bu haberi tekrar canlandırmayı uygun buldum. Hem kimsenin listeyi tam olarak gördüğünü de sanmıyorum, liste üstüne her dönem konuşulabilecek bir itina ile hazırlanmış.

Ama ne dersin diğdem, kötü etmemişim dimi? Çocuktum o yıllar internet falan girmezdi bizim eve. Telefondan bağlanılan günler falan... Şimdi
sakin kafayla rahat ulaşılır listeyi bir daha incelemek iyi gelir diye düşündüm...
